ROUTE 66 BICYCLE ODYSSEY

Recently, Jim Ross, co-founder of AMERICAN ROAD Magazine met Michelle Thompson. Jim
reports that Michelle is a 35 year-old Chicagoan who has taken leave of her consulting
business, turned her apartment and her dog over to a house sitter, and has hit the road
on a bicycle journey to spend time with her brother in the Los Angeles area, who has been
suffering from oral cancer for the past two years. Tired of feeling helpless, she finally
decided to take action, so she set up a web site, got some advice on cycling, which prior
to this endeavor she has never done, then bought a bike and pedaled onto Route 66 on
October 21. Her goal is to reach Los Angeles by the Christmas holiday while raising
awareness and money for Oral Cancer Research along the way.

You may visit Michelle痴 website at http://www.route2outsmartcancer.com. You may also
make a donation to the Oral Cancer Foundation via her site. AMERICAN ROAD Magazine would
like to assist in Michelle痴 valiant efforts by allowing individuals to subscribe to
AMERICAN ROAD and have a portion of the proceeds donated to the Oral Cancer Foundation.
You may do so via the following links:
