Another Smithsonian reader!! And I agree the Route 66 piece is well done.
[It is pure name dropping, but the fellow who heads the Smithsonian (G. Wayne Clough) is an old professional acquaintance, and I can say I have known no finer and honorable a gentleman and scholar. I'm proud to have worked with him years ago when he was a University of Washington VP.]
