Tommy Hitchcock Memorial Polo Tournament
05/17/19 - 06/02/19
Come to the Tommy Hitchcock Memorial Polo Tournament. The 12-Goal Tournament is played in remembrance of Polo Hall of Famer Thomas “Tommy” Hitchcock Jr. Also, the four-time U.S. Open champion represented the U.S. internationally. Even more, the youngest player awarded a 10-goal handicap at the time.
Hitchcock was killed in 1944 while testing a Mustang fighter plane. He grew up and spent much of his time where the competition takes place in Aiken, S.C. Certainly, where Hitchcock shaped his polo career.
This year’s competition at the New Bridge Polo & Country Club fields four teams vying for the trophy.
