Bring a lunch and have some coffee and dessert at Movie at Lunch: The Last Picture Show.
In 1951, a group of high schoolers come of age in a bleak, isolated, atrophied West Texas town that is slowly dying, both culturally and economically. While, the movie is Rated R.
This event coincides with the Crossroads: Change in Rural America, a traveling Smithsonian exhibit. Even more, it offers small towns a chance to examine their own paths. Certainly, highlight the changes that affected their fortunes during the past century.
Furthermore, Barnwell County Library, in partnership with the Barnwell County Museum, displays exhibit through May 12, 2019.
